Development of educational software "Introdução ao Microcomputador” (Introduction to Microcomputer), for internal use, which started being commercialized on the following year.

1992

Inauguration of the Educational Technology and Management Center, which assumes as work proposal to advise people, public and private organizations that perform educational activities, in addition to meeting the internal demands of Senac São Paulo. Beginning of activities of Editora Senac São Paulo, which commercially edits the publications produced by the Institution.

1993

Inauguration of the Retail Technology Center, which develops programs, services and studies for the Retail segment, and the Beauty Technology Center, with programs in cosmetology, hair, makeup and aesthetics. Inauguration of new facilities of the Integrated Revitalization Center and the Engenho das Águas restaurant of Grande Hotel São Pedro. Launch of the post-graduation programs in Tourism and Environment, Tourism Planning and Hotel Management, by the Center of Administration Studies in Tourism and Hotels.

1994

Launch in the Tourism and Hotel Studies area of new post-graduation courses in Event Administration and Organization, and Business Management in Catering for Groups. Conduction of the first videoconference of Project TV, responsible for the initial actions of implementation of the TV Senac São Paulo. Signature of partnership with ESMOD - Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Technique de la Mode, from France, to implement the courses of Fashion Design and Modeling in the Fashion Education Center. Inauguration of units in Mogi Guaçu and Jaú.

1995

Beginning of operation of Editora Senac São Paulo as an autonomous unit and launch of the first titles in the Brazilian publishing market. Signature of partnership with Embratel, ensuring an exclusive band for transmitting the images to be generated by TV Senac São Paulo.

1996

Celebration of 50 years of the Institution, with a path dedicated to producing and spreading knowledge and developing people and organizations in the commerce and service segments. Awarding by Guia Brasil 4 Rodas 96 to Grande Hotel São Pedro – Teaching Hotel Senac as the Leisure Hotel of the Year. Creation of the Senac Education and Citizenship Program (Programa Sesc de Educação e Cidadania), aiming at gathering under its guidance countless social-community actions developed by the Institutions, such as campaigns for Breastfeeding, Diabetes, Skin Cancer Prevention, Good Sight, as well as professional qualification programs for low income populations and participation in social movements. Beginning of activities of the Open Channel, which systemizes the flow of communication and opinion from Senac São Paulo customers through suggestion boxes. Inauguration of new headquarters of the Communication and Arts Center, in Lapa district, São Paulo. Beginning of activities of TV Senac São Paulo, which starts operating as an educational channel, taking on air a diversified programming consolidated through topics targeted to the marketplace. Launch of Celebration CD – 50 Anos do Senac (50 Years of Senac). An iconographic exhibit of the 50 first years of operation of Senac São Paulo is held.

1997

Inauguration of the Senac units in Bebedouro and Votuporanga. Launch of the Program of Education for Work (Programa de Educação para o Trabalho), targeted at the professional qualification of people between 14 and 21 years old, members of the lower income classes and living in the outskirts of major centers. The actions from this program were acknowledged with the diploma "Empresa Amiga da Criança” (Child’s Friend Company) granted by Fundação ABRINQ pelos Direitos da Criança (ABRINQ Foundation for Children’s Rights). Launch of the Project Burnt (Projeto Queimados), by the Beauty Technology Center, in partnership with Hospital das Clínicas and the Medicine School from USP, a joint work by aestheticians and plastic surgeons through actions for rehabilitation and social reintegration of people with consequences from burning.

1998

Beginning of university courses: Fashion Design, Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Studies and Technology in Tourism, marking the expansion of the Senac presence in the scope of higher education. Inauguration of units in the city of Rio Claro and the district of Itaquera, in São Paulo. Inauguration of Grande Hotel Campos do Jordão, another teaching hotel Senac, expanding the offer of products and services in the area of Tourism and Hotel Studies. Certification by norms ISO 9002 of the Grande Hotel São Pedro – teaching hotel Senac. Inauguration of new headquarters of the Fashion Education Center, in the Lapa district. The Interior Design Education Center, installed in the Santa Cecília district, is the newest specialized area of operation by Senac.

1999

Conduction of admission tests for Senac Colleges, along with PUC-SP, for the courses of Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Studies, Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Bachelor’s Degree in Computing Sciences, Technology in Multimedia Design, Technology in Environmental Management, Fashion Design, Technology in Hotel Studies, and Technology in Tourism. Launch of program Reading and Writing for Youngsters and Adults (Alfabetizando Jovens e Adultos), an action of the Senac-SP Program of Education and Citizenship for ending illiteracy, with two years of duration and offering, at the end of the course, a certificate equivalent to the 4th year of Elementary School. The American Chamber of Commerce grants the Eco Award 99 in the special Judges’ Category for the conduction of the Program Education for Work on behalf of citizenship. Signature of contract with TV Senac, in order to ensure the operational infrastructure and quality of transmission and reception of programs generated by TV Assembléia. Signature of partnership with SESC-SP, National Department of SESC and National Department of Senac for joint management of TV Senaco, which starts adopting the name Rede SescSenac de Televisão. The Language Center is granted the title Quality in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language - CEELE, by the University of Alcalá, in Spain.
